Your "face" i.e. front-end is built with HTML5 for greatest possible dynamics and your back-end with PHP and MySQL. Data is transferred between client and server using AJAX. The mobile web is built deploying JQuery Mobile and in cases where implementation is made as an "app": Jquery Mobile and PhoneGap.
